
After training in internal medicine, psychiatry, and psychoanalysis, Dr. Brockett has devoted much of his career to psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
His undergraduate education was at the University of California, San Diego, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He then studied Medicine at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Brockett has been a dedicated educator throughout his career. He was a Voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego from 2015 to 2025. Since 2019, he has been on the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center faculty, serving on the Education Committee and helping train future psychoanalysts.
