About Dr. Brockett
After training in internal medicine, psychiatry, and psychoanalysis, Dr. Brockett has devoted much of his career to the practice of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in psychology and a minor in chemistry. He subsequently attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Brockett completed formal psychoanalytic training at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center, where he currently serves as senior faculty and on its Education Committee, participating in the training of psychoanalytic candidates.

From 2015 to 2025, he served as a Voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego.
